We, the residents, respectfully request that the Dudley Council reconsider the recent decision to place double yellow lines outside our homes on New Road and Cinder Bank and the proposed restrictions on Cinder Bank The removal of on-street parking has created significant hardships for residents, as it restricts access to convenient and safe parking near our homes.

Key Issues Raised by residents:

1. Loss of Essential Parking Space: Many residents rely on street parking due to non-existent alternative parking options. The sudden restriction has led to inconvenience, especially for working families, elderly residents, and those with mobility issues.
2. Increased Daily Challenges: Without nearby parking, are left with no other options, impacting travel to work, often struggling to carry shopping, assist young children, visits from friends and family or manage heavy items over a distance. Essentially taking away independence.
3. Community Impact: The change has disrupted daily routines and has diminished the quality of life for residents who have been parking here without issue for over 40 years.
4. Lack of Consultation: Residents feel that this decision was made without sufficient community consultation or consideration of our needs.

Our Request: We ask that the council reevaluate this decision and explore alternatives, such as implementing limited-time restrictions or resident parking permits, rather than a full prohibition.
