Disposal of land at Netherton Park Ref. 000594/dk
A notice has appeared on the entrance to our beloved park. The notice is for the proposed disposal (sale) of a piece of Netherton Park land.
Please help The Friends of Netherton Park to save it by signing this petition!!
?? This land is not surplus to requirements. This is a small piece of land the Friends group have constantly used for nearly 20 years and is vital to our community events we put on. Without this land we would find it impossible to have our annual Funday in July.
?? The land belongs to Netherton Park and therefore protected by the Earl of Dudley Covenant. We believe this land is for the use of the community and legally cannot be sold.
?? If the land is sold and we are evicted; there is nowhere else on the park our equipment can be stored. This would lead group disbanding and our loved park falling into disrepair. Dudley Council do not have the financial resources to keep the park well maintained. Our Friends group have always been there to fill that gap.
Please support our group by signing and OBJECTING to the disposal of park land!
