Urgently restore convenient access to a Household Waste and Recycling Centre (tip) for residents in the north of the borough, including Sedgley, Coseley, Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton.

For many years, residents benefitted from access to a nearby tip. The loss of this facility has forced many households to travel significantly further across the borough simply to dispose of household waste and recycling.
This is inconvenient and unfair. 

We believe:

• Visiting a tip should not require a lengthy journey across the borough. 
• Residents in North Dudley deserve fair and reasonable access to a tip. 
• Convenient recycling facilities encourage higher recycling rates and reduce fly-tipping. 
• The current situation places an unfair burden on residents of Sedgley, Coseley, Gornal, Upper Gornal & Woodsetton. 
• Dudley Council should make restoring local access a priority. 

We therefore call on Dudley Council to:

1. Publish a clear plan for restoring convenient tip access for residents of North Dudley. 
2. Work with neighbouring authorities to explore access arrangements where appropriate. 
3. Investigate options for a tip serving the north of the borough. 
4. Provide regular public updates on progress towards a long-term solution. 

Residents of North Dudley deserve fair access to recycling facilities and should not be disadvantaged because of where they live.

Visiting a tip shouldn't require a road trip.
